Brain-Working Recursive Therapy is fast, effective and permanent.
In contrast to conventional talking therapies, which help you manage negative reactions to triggers, BWRT overwrites the automatic reaction with how you would prefer to feel.
BWRT doesn’t require you to relive the details of traumatic events. You only need to bring the worst memory to mind for a few seconds before you overwrite it with how you would like to feel instead. “Simple” phobias, direct fears or anxieties, etc. can be cured in one or two sessions. Deeper psychological issues can be addressed in weeks rather than months.
I am an advanced member of the BWRT Institute
"BWRT® stands for ‘BrainWorking Recursive Therapy®’, a model of psychology and psychotherapy created by UK professional therapist, Terence Watts, MCGI.
It’s a totally confidential method that does not require you to reveal your private information or personal secrets to your therapist and it is carried out in a completely conscious state.
It does not use hypnosis or any concepts that might be considered mystical or unscientific - it’s completely logical, practical and down-to-earth, and for it to succeed only needs you to know what you want to change in your life. Only Certified Practitioners have been trained to deliver BWRT® and all have to adhere to a strict ethical code.

How BWRT works
BWRT differs from conventional ‘talking therapies’ in that it works with the ancient part of the brain that evolved to run automatic patterns of behaviour to keep us alive. Many of them are not in our conscious awareness, such as breathing or sleeping. As we develop, our brain learns to do all sorts of things, such as catching a ball, riding a bike or driving, which we do without thinking.
However, if we have a really strong emotional reaction to a situation, our brains code reminders of that situation as a cue to repeat the reaction (after all, it works as we’re still alive!). So, even though we know rationally that a situation is not dangerous, we automatically react with unwarranted fear, anger or other unhelpful emotion.
In its simplest form, BWRT works by ’over-writing’ the instruction with how you would prefer to feel so that you have a more appropriate response to a situation. A whole suite of protocols has been developed for all manner of psychological issues.
Although change is fast, it is also permanent. On the few occasions symptoms start coming back, a further session can usually identify what further factors need to be addressed.
BWRT can resolve
anxiety, social anxiety, health anxiety, work-related stress, panic attacks, phobias and fears such as fear of flying or fear of driving, OCD, trauma (from childhood onwards), PTSD, anger and even depression.
It can help with
unresolved loss and grief, relationship issues, acceptance (for when there’s no alternative), guilt and shame, and feelings of humiliation. It can help you recover your motivation, achieve your goals, including smoking cessation, overcoming sugar addiction and reducing misophonia.
It can even address
core identity issues such low self-esteem/self-worth and addictions. So, whatever you might be struggling with, BWRT can probably help. Contact me to find out more and book an initial session. This will identify areas to work on and a plan to achieve the results you want in subsequent sessions.
Client results
BWRT seems too good to be true, but I can see I have made improvements. The evidence is all around me: my house is clearer, I've started doing yoga again and am motivated to continue. And I've not got into a rage with my daughter.
For the past 25 years I've struggled with the anniversary of my mother's passing, and this year it was just like any other day.
I've suffered with so many things and they are now in the distance. I can truly say BWRT has been life-changing.
My life-long phobia, caused by a traumatic childhood experience, has completely gone, as has the fear of that type of animal.
Just to let you know, I made it here to Antigua . Your sessions really helped. There was a significant difference, a complete change of thinking . I enjoyed the flight; lots of films and quizzes . I’m optimistic for the return.
